Minutes, August 2023

The Middle East Sociology Working Group and the Sociology of Islam network met at Dim Sum Garden on August 20, 2023, during the annual conference of the American Sociological Association in Philadelphia. In a crowded back room, the group decided to explore a renewed push to establish a section in the American Sociological Association for the study of the Middle East, Middle Eastern Americans, and related subjects.
